Longtime country singer-songwriter Aaron Tippin’s new “25” double-CD is part-retrospective, part-new record. The former trucker describes the project in more detail in the podcast talk with Overdrive available below.
The first CD is comprised of 10 of Tippin’s past hits, including recognizable tracks like “You’ve got to stand for something,” “Working Man’s PhD” and “Where the stars and stripes and the eagles fly.”
The second CD in the set features 15 newly recorded tracks — 10 Tippin originals and 5 cover songs, some of which bring in Tippin family members on vocals. The last time Overdrive sat down with Tippin three years ago at Uncle Pete’s Truck Stop in Lebanon, Tenn., he detailed some ongoing work on a series of trucking-related songs that he talks more about in the podcast. Run through samples of some of the new and old material throughout the talk below.from Overdrive http://ift.tt/1Paj3hP
