Easing into ownership: The successful path to lease-purchase

9 tips to help turn a lease-purchase in your favor.

If you’re a company driver who wants to own your own truck, or you already have your own small fleet and you’re ready to expand your operations, PAM Cartage Carriers wants to help you. The PAM Transportation Services division recently rolled out its Overdrive Lease Program, a new lease-purchase program eligible to drivers with no credit check required and as little as three months of experience driving with PAM or one year of commercial driving experience with any carrier.

The program is divided into three tiers: Promo, Classic and Elite. The Promo tier gives drivers who have six months of experience driving for PAM a path to lease their own Freightliner raised-roof sleeper. The Classic tier requires only three months with PAM and allows drivers to lease multiple trucks. The Elite tier offers drivers with one year of commercial driving experience at any carrier the opportunity to lease an International ProStar that comes with a two-year major mechanical warranty.

Navajo, which has more than 1,000 trucks, also received third place for Fleet Safety for Carriers with Truckloads over 3 Million Miles. The award was based on DOT recordable crashes within Colorado, as well as a thorough fleet safety audit.
