Ford Motor Co. is recalling 22,616 2015 model-year Lincoln MKZ sedans in North America because the parking lamps are excessively bright and might affect the vision of oncoming drivers.
Ford said it isn’t aware of any accidents or injuries related to the condition, however.
To resolve the problem, Lincoln dealers will update the body control module software. There will be no charge for this service.
The Lincoln MKZ sedans subject to the recall were built Feb. 17, 2014, to March 19 of this year at Hermosillo Assembly Plant. A total of 21,435 of the cars are in the U.S. The remaining sedans are in Canada (1,066) and Mexico (115).
