The American Transportation Research Institute is seeking input from truck operators on their perceptions of trucking parking availability and the viability of truck parking reservation systems, the research organization announced this week.
It collected 800 surveys from drivers on the matter last week at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., and the survey is now open online at atri-online.org.

ATRI has not said how it intends to use the research, but it says it has made truck parking one of its top research topics for 2015, as both carriers and drivers rank parking availability as one of the industry’s top issues. For drivers, parking challenges are “eclipsed only by the challenges associated with” hours-of-service compliance, ATRI says.
The survey will be open through the end of the month.
