Rodriguez, Poulsen score another Pride & Polish Best of Show victory each at Dynaflex show

Small fleet owners Ray Rodriguez and Travis Poulsen each scored their second Overdrive’s Pride & Polish Best of Show awards of the 2015 National Championship season this weekend in Willows, Calif., at the Dynalfex-sponsored Monster Stack Shootout show.

A few of the show trucks and race trucks at the joint Pride & Polish contest and ChampTruck racing held in conjunction this weekend.

Rodriguez’ 2015 Peterbilt 389 and 2015 Western Stepdeck, which he’s named “Wicked,” won Best of show in the Limited Mileage Combo category. The Salinas,Calif.-based flatbedder also won Best of Show in the same category at last year’s Great American Trucking Show.

Poulsen and his 1998 Peterbilt 379 won Best of Show in the Limited Mileage Bobtail category, the same category the two won at 2014’s PDI Pride & Polish show.

In the Working truck categories at the Dynaflex Pride & Polish, Eric Hassevoort of Hamilton, Mich., and his 2015 Peterbilt 389 won Best of Show in the Working Bobtail category, and Phil Miller of Amargosa Valley, Nev., won Best of Show, Working Combo with his 2010 Peterbilt 389 and 2015 Wilson livestock trailer.

James Davis’ 1993 Peterbilt 379 and 2006 MAC flatbed won the Participants’ Choice award.

All four of the Best of Show trucks are now qualified to compete in the Pride & Polish National Championship round of judging, to be held in August at the Great American Trucking Show.

The trucks will square off there against the Best of Show winners from the series’ other four qualifying events.
