Tesla Selling Pre-Owned Model S Cars

Tesla Motors has launched an online marketplace offering previously owned Model S battery-electric vehicles, the company has announced.

Using the program, customers can search for pre-owned Model S vehicles in nine U.S. cities and two additional states including Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, D.C., Florida, and Hawaii.

Every pre-owned Model S offered through the program has passed a more-than-200-point service inspection, according to Tesla. Vehicles sold through the program include a four-year or 50,000-mile limited warranty that begins on the date of delivery; a balance of battery and drive unit warranty (eight years or 125,000 miles for the 60kWh battery; eight years or unlimited miles for the 85kWh battery); a CarFax vehicle history report; and 24-hour roadside assistance over the warranty period.
