Cummins kicks off cross-country tour showcasing current, next-gen engines

Cummins Inc. kicked off its 2015 Redefining Tour on Saturday, June 13, in Columbus, Ind.

The tour is a coast-to-coast mobile tour showcasing both current and future technologies. It will visit 34 cities across the U.S. and Canada between June 13 and Oct. 6, providing customers an up-close and personal opportunity to view Cummins products and technology solutions.

This year’s tour will feature five Class 8 truck-and-trailer combinations representing major Class 8 OEM brands that will travel cross-country to each stop. The vehicles will be powered by a combination of the current ISX15 engine, the Cummins Eaton SmartAdvantage Powertrain, and the 2017 ISX15 engine with the Single Module aftertreatment system. They will also feature specifications catering to both fuel efficiency and high-performance-oriented customers.

The tour will also feature an interactive show trailer that will showcase the ISB6.7, the Cummins Westport ISX12 G natural gas engine and the 2017 ISX15.

•July 24 – Cummins Western Canada – Edmonton, AB, Canada
•July 27 – Cummins Western Canada – Vancouver, BC, Canada
•July 29 – Cummins Northwest – Seattle, Wash.
•July 31 – Cummins Northwest – Portland, Ore.
•Aug. 4 – Cummins Pacific – Sacremento, Calif.
•Aug. 7 – Cummins Rocky Mountain – Phoenix, Ariz.
•Aug. 11 – Cummins Rocky Mountain – Salt Lake City, Utah
•Aug 14 – Cummins Rocky Mountain – Denver, Colo.
