Learn How to Integrate Safety Policies and Technology

Today's fleet vehicles are increasingly becoming well-equipped with advanced crash avoidance technology, but is driver over-reliance on this technology an unintended downside of having this lifesaving equipment onboard? That's what a panel of subject matter experts at the upcoming Fleet Safety Conference will be exploring.

In the Tuesday, July 14, Fleet Response-sponsored session, "The Unfortunate Downside of Crash Avoidance Technology," with a panel consisting of Kate Duffy of Liberty Mutual Insurance, Rich Radl of ARI, and Dan Shive of LeasePlan USA and moderated by Ed Iannuzzi of ARI will weigh whether fleet drivers who rely too heavily on crash avoidance technologies become too complacent and lose their focus on safe driving techniques.

The 1:40 p.m.-2:40 p.m. session will help attendees learn how to adjust their fleet policies to address drivers in the context of these new crash-avoidance technologies and provide models for the kinds of supportive training that should be assigned to drivers when these technologies are added to the fleet's vehicles.

The 2015 Fleet Safety Conference, produced by Bobit Business Media, will take place July 13-15 in Schaumburg, Ill. For more information about the conference, click here.
