Audi plans to roll out its next-generation Q7 full-size luxury SUV in early 2016 and will offer an improved Q3 compact luxury SUV "soon," Audi has announced.
The Q3 should appear as a 2016 model-year vehicle, while the Q7 would be slated as either a 2016-MY or 2017-MY vehicle. The 2016 Q3 should launch later this summer.
The announcements come as the company logged a 24.1-percent increase in SUV sales in June compared with the same month in 2014. The company is focusing on launching several new crossovers and SUVs in the coming years, said Rupert Stadler, chairman of the board of management of AUDI AG.
Audi also plans to offer a Q1 subcompact SUV in Europe in 2016, an electric-powered sporty SUV in 2018, and a new, flagship Q8 SUV in 2019, according to a release.
