This top-ten hall of fame — or shame, depending on your perspective — is actually a top 11, showing states in which the most violations per individual inspection were written throughout calendar year 2014.
While many of the usual suspects at the top of the rankings (see our report on Connecticut from last year) didn’t change much between 2013 and 2014, Wisconsin neighbors Minnesota and Iowa were close in violations per inspection, but Minnesota narrowly took the 10th spot.We included Iowa here to illustrate the region around those three contiguous states where targeting enforcement for violations is particularly effective.
