Kia has revealed the first images of its fourth-generation Sportage compact SUV it will likely introduce with the 2017 model year. Kia will provide additional details about the vehicle at the Frankfurt International Motor Show on Sept. 15.
The Sportage, which was first introduced with the 1993 model year in an alliance with Ford and Mazda, has been redesigned with a more bold, progressive design with sharper lines and a more raked roof.
The lower, wider tiger-nose grille adds more volume to the SUV's face, according to Kia. The vehicle will arrive with longer front overhangs, shorter rear overhangs and a longer wheelbase.
