EPA Releases Tesla Model X Fuel Economy

On the eve of the unveiling of Tesla's 2016 Model X, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has released the luxury SUV's fuel economy ratings for the two available models.

The Model X all-wheel-drive 90D model provides 94 miles per gallon equivalent driving on the highway and 90 mpge in the city. The vehicle provides a driving range of 257 miles.

The Model X all-wheel-drive P90D model provides 90 mpge highway and 89 mpge city. The vehicle provides a range of 250 miles.

As expected, the Model X's fuel economy and range is slightly lower than that of the Model S sedan. View the EPA's ratings here.
