Honda Recalls Fit for Stalling

Honda is recalling 17,800 Fit subcompact cars in the 2015 model year, so dealers can address a potential stalling problem tied to the original plug-top ignition coils.

These plug-top ignition coils can degrade over time, which might lead to engine stalling. However, Honda said, no related crashes or injuries have been reported.

“Honda is announcing this recall to encourage each owner of an affected vehicle to take it to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive notification of this recall from Honda,” the automaker said. Mailed notification will begin Oct. 6. There will be no charge for the repair service.
