Fleet Advantage announced that its President and CFO, Brian Holland, will participate in two prominent industry panels in October. Holland’s industrywide knowledge in the transportation equipment field coupled with his equipment leasing expertise has resulted in panelist invitations from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Chainlink Research, as well as from the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association (ELFA).
Holland will be a panel expert for the “IoT Takes to the Road – Making Transportation Smarter” educational session hosted by MIT Enterprise Forum and moderated by Chainlink Research that focuses on the Internet of Things in the transportation industry. The session will cover available transportation technologies and options, such as analytics, used to promote efficiencies and sustainability in the supply chain. The event will take place on October 15, 2015, at the MIT Stata Center.
Topics for this discussion include technology’s role in keeping costs down, improving services and optimizing utilization capacity as well as keeping equipment in optimal repair and on the road so that maximum capacity is achieved; end-to-end visibility of logistics planning and execution, reducing risks and other challenges associated with managing private fleets and transportation companies—financials, labor and competition.
Holland will also participate at the 54th annual ELFA conference in San Antonio on October 25, 2015. The panel, titled “Strategic Benefits of Choosing Second Life Leasing option”, hosted by DLL Financial Services will elaborate on the strategic benefits of second life business, and will demonstrate how manufacturers can minimize cannibalization risks associated with active involvement in multiple market segments.
“This discussion is the basis of our business model at Fleet Advantage” said Holland. “The challenge to present a more desirable product to the secondary and tertiary markets and to convey the urgency to act on that desire can be overcome in a variety of ways and I am looking forward to contributing to this conversation.”
