Cadillac will begin delivering its 2016 CT6 large luxury sedan to dealers in March with a price tag starting at $54,490, Cadillac has announced.
The flagship CT6 marks Cadillac's return to the full-size sedan market with a vehicle that should deliver some innovation with its extensive use of aluminum and other lighter-weight materials as well as its turbo-charged V-6 with cylinder deactivation and stop-start technology to improve fuel economy. Cadillac also plans to offer a plug-in hybrid model.
The CT6 will retail for at least $54,490 for the base model turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder, $56,490 for the 3.6L V-6 with all-wheel drive, and $65,390 for the 3.0L twin-turbo V-6 with AWD. The top-line CT6 Platinum model starts at $84,460.
Cadillac will release more details about its CT6 PHEV model closer to the vehicle's March launch.
The 2016 CT6 will be built at the Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant on the east side of Detroit. In April, Cadillac auctioned the first retail production CT6 to benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
