Hyundai Motor America is recalling 64,744 2015-2016 model-year Sonata sedans because of malfunctioning warning lights for the antilock braking system (ABS), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
Dealers will resolve the problem by updating the ABS control unit software, free of charge.
The recall, expected to begin Dec. 11, covers vehicles manufactured from May 28, 2014, to Aug. 21 of this year.
Vehicle owners can reach Hyundai customer service at (855) 671-3059. Hyundai's number for this recall is 134.
