Porsche has discontinued sales of Cayenne Diesel luxury SUVs from the 2014-2016 model years, following notification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that the vehicles violate emissions standards.
The automaker issued a brief statement on Nov. 3 about the move.
"We are working intensively to resolve this matter as soon as possible," according to the statement. "Customers may continue to operate their vehicles normally."
On Nov. 2, about 10,000 Volkswagen AG vehicles from Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine were named by the EPA in a notice of violation.
