General Motors plans to continue limited sales of its Chevrolet Spark EV battery-electric subcompact in three U.S. markets for the 2016 model year without a price change.

Depending on a buyer’s tax situation and residence, however, the Spark EV could cost less than $15,000 after full federal and state tax credits and retail incentives.

"The 2016 Chevrolet Spark EV — Chevy’s first pure electric vehicle — is sold in limited quantities in California, Maryland, and Oregon, and the MSRP remains $25,995," said Kathy Beslic, advertising and marketing manager of Chevrolet electric vehicles.

When fully charged, it has a combined city/highway EPA-estimated range of 82 miles and EPA-estimated city/highway 119 MPGe fuel economy.

Its GM-built motor and drive unit deliver 327 lb.-ft. (444 Nm) of torque, which propels the vehicle from 0-60 mph in 7.2 seconds.
