Audi's redesigned A4 entry luxury sedan will arrive in the spring with significant weight savings from the outgoing model and a reworked 2.0L 4-cylinder that cuts fuel use and increases power.
With this next-generation model, Audi is bringing back all-wheel drive, which has been available on the A4 allroad in recent model years, and will also add a new generation 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission.
Audi's heavier use of lightweight aluminum-hybrid construction will result in "significant weight savings," according to the automaker.
The new 2.0L TSFI engine can generate 252 hp and 273 lb.-ft. of torque by employing a combustion method similar to the Miller-cycle breathing technology for the EA888 engine.
The A4 also features a suite of advanced infotainment functions including the available Audi virtual cockpit and a newly designed infotainment system with standard Audi smartphone integration, which supports Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto.
