General Motors increased commercial deliveries by 12% to 213,358 during 2015, which marks a second straight year of double-digit gains, according to the company.
Sales of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-size pickups introduced as 2015 model year vehicles helped bolster the company's fleet sales.
"Our customers want great products, and our award-winning Colorado and Canyon helped us deliver for them in 2015," said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president of General Motors Fleet. "We've seen first-hand how our customers use our trucks to help their business succeed."
General Motors also reported strong increases for its other trucks and SUVs, including a 17% increase in sales of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra full-size pickups, 19% increase in Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain compact SUVs, and 8% increase in Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Buick Enclave mid-size SUVs.
Additionally, sales of General Motors fleet unit's certified pre-owned vehicles increased 8%, according to the company.
