Niyato Industries Inc. has developed a tri-fuel system that can support the use of gasoline, compressed natural gas, or propane and installed it on a Ford F-350 4x4 pickup, according to the company.
The propane application of the new tri-fuel system will need a different tank for propane storage and a vaporizer. This can be ordered when the facility that retrofits the vehicle makes its order based on the fleet operator’s original purchase order agreement.
The certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board will cover all weight configurations for Ford's F-250 and F-350 6.2L engines.
“Our goal is not remaking the wheel, but making it roll more smoothly,” says Niyato CEO Leslie Stencil.
The vehicle is currently undergoing testing by Niyato Industries calibration and system design team.
