To those owning 80s or 90s cars, you are likely to be sitting on a classic, but there is a strong chance that you could now be hesitant to put too many more miles on your car even if you are doing your best to take care of it. This could mean that the passage of time has taken its toll on your car, where it could be already considered as a bit of an antiquity. The good news if you love having a classic car is that there are now other models that are considered as new classics, which you can lovingly have in your garage. Here are four of them:
-
The 1984-1985 Cadillac Eldorado/Buick Riviera
Though these vehicles are being optimistically put on a list of 10 classic convertibles under $10,000, the drop-top Eldorado can actually be found for less than such a price, with one in good condition can set you back at least $15,000. As for the Riviera, it is slightly more affordable with its sloped grille and the Buick nameplate.
-
The 1994-1996 Chevrolet Impala SS
This car looks like the Chevrolet Caprice and was the police car of choice for much of the mid-90s. It has got the trademark rear-wheel Corvette 5.7-liter, 280-horsepower V8 engine and all the features the Caprice had, including the suspension and wide, sticky tires that come as standard.
-
The 1995-2000 Acura Integra Type R
This car is known for being used in main drags, which has made its legacy. Though this front-wheel drive came out of the factory with only a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 197 horsepower, tuners have given it a lot more power. You will notice this car passing today with probably a loud, oversized exhaust.
-
The 1993-1996 Mazda RX-7
In the mid-90s, tuners had a few choices to get a great deal of horsepower, and one of them is 3rd-generation RX-7, with 255-horsepower from a twin-turbocharged 1.3-liter rotary engine. While this small and light sports car won hearts, it has also taken even more heats.
