Nissan North America is recalling 46,671 2014 model-year Nissan Rogue SUVs because of a potential fuel pump problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall covers vehicles manufactured July 25-Dec. 21 in 2013 and Feb. 1-June 7 in 2014. Improper nickel-plating of components within the fuel pump may result in fuel pump failure, NHTSA said. This can lead to vehicle stalling.
Nissan dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge, to resolve the issue. Vehicle owners can reach Nissan customer service at (800) 647-7261.
