The 2017 Ford Escape compact SUV will arrive in May with FordPass, a smartphone integration feature that allows users to remotely lock or unlock, start the vehicle, or check fuel level from a mobile app.
The 2017 Escape also arrives with SYNC 3, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto so users can integrate their smartphones with the vehicle. The FordPass platform is included with SYNC Connect, which is included in the Technology Package on Escape SE or standard on Escape Titanium.
Ford is updating its Escape with a pair of new engines, standard stop-start, safety options, and enhanced connectivity for 2017. Ford is adding two four-cylinder EcoBoost engine options, including a 1.5L and 2.0L twin-scroll turbo-charged engine.
