IMPCO Automotive has received certification by the Air Resources Board (ARB) and Environmental Protection Agency for its bi-fuel CNG system installed on the 2016 6.0L Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana 2500/3500 cargo and passenger vans.
"Offering a bi-fuel passenger and cargo van on the popular GM Express and Savana platforms fulfills a void in the market for working class bi-fuel CNG van solutions," said Jeff Hall, IMPCO's director of sales. "Retrofits are available for fleets with existing model year 2016 inventory. This product will close the gap on a very limited list of bi-fuel solutions that can fulfil the needs of the states that require ARB certifications."
The certification expands IMPCO's list of OEM light- and medium-duty platforms that operate on CNG and LPG.
