FCA US is recalling an estimated 99 2016 model-year Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans in the U.S. to check the torque on fasteners that join the third-row seatback and cushion frames.

A supplier advised FCA US that a tool had been inadvertently set to deliver slightly less fastening torque than the specified amount. The tool had been used over two eight-hour production shifts, the automaker said in a released statement.

A subsequent FCA US investigation identified which vehicles may be affected. However, FCA US said it isn’t aware of any related injuries, accidents, customer complaints, or warranty claims. Moreover, the automaker noted it doesn't know of any related component failures.

An additional four minivans are subject to recall in Canada.

“Service availability is imminent,” FCA US said. “Affected customers will be advised when they may contact their dealers.”

Customers can reach the FCA US Customer Care Center at (800) 853-1403.
