Kurstan Sexton, Volkswagen's fleet account manager for the Eastern region, has been promoted to a role overseeing 14 Kansas City area dealers, leaving an opening in the regional fleet sales role.
Sexton will move into her new position of sales operations manager beginning Aug. 22.
While the automaker searches for a replacement, Martin Kiel, VW's national fleet sales manager, will oversee the territory that includes 11 states, eastern Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.
"Kurstan has been a significant part of the growth and success of Volkswagen Fleet," KIel said in an email. "She’s built strong relationships and has provided the highest level of customer service to every customer throughout her 5.5 years on the team. She will be greatly missed by her fleet family but we are very excited for her taking on this new role within Volkswagen."
Volkswagen is now searching for Sexton's replacement. The candidate should reside closest to customers in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. The position is home-based.
