Audi has increased the efficiency of the 2.0L four-cylinder TSFI engine that powers its A3 entry luxury sedan for 2017, Audi has announced.
The 2.0L engine boosts horsepower by 16 hp and torque by 21 lb.-ft. over the outgoing 1.8T four-cylinder. As a result, the 2017 A3 2.0T should provide 29 mpg in combined driving cycles, according to Audi.
Audi is pairing the 2.0T that powers the 2017 A3 sedan and cabriolet with a 7-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission that delivers power to a front-wheel drivetrain.
The 2017 A3 sedan will retail for $32,150 for the Premium, $35,400 for the Premium Plus, and $41,100 for the Prestige. The vehicle will go on sale this fall.
