EPA, NHTSA set to publish second phase of truck emissions standards

A Final Rule to establish new emissions and fuel economy standards for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles is expected to be published Tuesday and will take effect at the end of December. They call for fuel economy on tractor-trailers to be boosted by 25 percent.
