Volkswagen will present the latest concept vehicle from its I.D. family of electric cars that will be fully autonomous at the North American International Auto Show.
As with the previous I.D. concept vehicle that was unveiled at the Paris International Motor Show in September 2016, this model is also based on the Modular Electric Drive Kit (MEB), according to the automaker. The MEB platform makes use of a flat-floor battery setup to provide a higher capacity/range design.
The I.D. concept vehicle that was unveiled in September will be offered with a fully-automated driving mode from 2025 onwards, according to the automaker.
The North American International Auto Show will be held Jan. 8-22, 2017.
