The California Air Resource Board (CARB) has certified Landi Renzo to produce a dedicated compressed natural gas (CNG) version of the 2017 model year Ford E-450 cutaway van.
The certification comes shortly after the vehicle was certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The vehicle can now legally be converted to operate on natural gas in the U.S., according to the vehicle modifier.
Landi Renzo USA, a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM), has maintained both EPA and CARB certifications on the Ford 6.8L two-valve V-10 engine since the 2014 model year.
