Several major U.S. cities are now using alternative-fuel trucks produced by vehicle modifier Greenkraft, Inc. for daily operations to help reduce pollution and cost for the cities, according to the company, which trades shares on the over-the-counter market as GKIT.
The company has thousands of dollars' worth of the truck orders, according to Greenkraft. GKIT's commercial trucks are powered by alternative fuels such compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane autogas (LPG) in Classes 3 to 7.
"GKIT is able to offer these trucks in sizes ranging from 14,500 lbs. to 33,000 lbs. which makes them viable in almost facet of the truck industry," said George Gemayel, Greenkraft's CEO. "Greenkraft's CNG trucks are becoming the standard alternative to diesel trucks in the U.S. This increased demand and national recognition of our CNG truck line is set to dramatically increase GKIT's revenue in the 2017 fiscal year."
