Fleet Response has named Natalie Angelo the winner of the 2017 Ron and Fran Mawaka Employee of the Year award, the company has announced.

Angelo is a senior subrogation specialist.

Finalists included Grace Bradac, office coordinator; Kimberly Colegrove, senior call center representative; Jessica Faria, senior claims representative; Mark Halaiko, property damage coordinator; and Tom Macko, application developer.

Fleet Response employees and founder Ron Mawaka, Sr. gathered alongside president and CEO Scott Mawaka for the announcement of the finalists and winner of the third annual Employee of the Year award.

The Employee of the Year award was created in 2015 by Ron Mawaka and his wife Fran as a way to recognize and reward Fleet Response employees who show exemplary individual achievement, contribution, and performance in their jobs. Employees are nominated by their peers, and finalists are chosen by the Fleet Response executive team. Each of the five finalists are presented with a $1,000 check and the 2017 award winner receives a $5,000 check.

"These awards are a great way for us to acknowledge and thank our dedicated hard-working employees," said Scott Mawaka. "Natalie embodies our C.A.R.E.S culture, which stands for communication, accountability, responsiveness, empathy, and solution. Her hard work and dedication make her well deserving of the Employee of the Year award."

Fleet Response was founded by Ron Mawaka Sr. in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1986 as Rental Concepts, Inc. (RCI). Ron's sons, Scott Mawaka and Ron Mawaka Jr., have both been extremely involved with the family-owned business, with Scott recently purchasing the company from the shareholders to ensure it remains privately-held and family-run.
