FMCSA proposes rules to ease new drivers’ transition into trucking

FMCSA issued a rule proposal to extend the expiration date of commercial learner's permits from 180 days to a full year, as well as a proposal to allow current and former military members who drove a truck in the military to waive the CDL knowledge test.
