The second-generation 2018 Chevrolet Traverse will retail for at least $30,875 when the mid-size SUV goes on sale in the coming weeks, General Motors has announced. The automaker has begun shipping vehicles to dealers.
The three-row, eight-passenger 2018 Traverse is adding two trim levels, including the sporty RS and High Country. It will also be offered in L, LS, LT, and Premier grades. GM will offer a Redline package with Premier that features a blacked-out appearance with red accents.
The mid-size SUV is powered by a new 3.6-liter V-6 paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that increases horsepower by 10%. The front-wheel-drive model should achieve 25 mpg on the highway, GM has announced.
New available safety features include surround vision, lane-keep assist, land departure warning, front pedestrian braking, forward collision alert, and low-speed and high-speed forward automatic braking.
Other standard features include a rear-view camera, a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot that supports up to seven devices, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In 2016, GM Fleet customers purchased more than 31,400 Chevrolet Traverse SUVs.
