Julie Bromley manager, shared services at Reedy Industries - Mechanical Group in Bensenville, Ill., retired on June 30, culminating a 25-year career with the company. Bromley joined Reedy Industries in 1992.
As manager, shared services, Bromley was responsible for fleet and telecommunications, managing more than $2 million in corporate assets, plus administering vendor and contract compliance management, safety programs for over 300 field technicians, preferred vendor programs, system pricing management, and providing analytical and reporting assistance to the VP of finance.
In addition, Bromley was responsible for credit and collection policies and procedures for The Mechanical Group, which is the largest and fastest growing business segment within Reedy Industries Inc. The Mechanical Group covers seven business groups in the Midwest.
Prior to joining Reedy Industries, Bromley was the director of operations for Pelam Inc. from 1980 to 1990. Pelam was a medical consulting firm that performed physicals nationwide for companies that sought to meet OSHA requirements for safety and health. While at Pelam, Bromley was responsible for coordinating the field testing teams and managing all testing processes and medical report production. In addition, product development, sales and staff management were key components of her job.
Succeeding Bromley is Heather Uhrich, who has been named director of field support services for Reedy Industries. Prior to this, Uhrich was the equipment engineer for Kenny Construction Co. in Northbrook, Ill. Among her wide-ranging responsibilities at Kenny Construction was managing compliance with preventive maintenance schedules on all heavy-duty equipment, USDOT compliance, and quarterly federal tax returns for IRP/apportioned vehicles. She also managed the company's telematics programs, which included Telogis, Visionlink, JD Link, Zonar, and Fleetmatics.
Earlier, Uhrich was corporate fleet and facilities administrator for Groot Industries Inc., in Elk Grove Village, Ill., managing a fleet of 850 mobile units.
Uhrich started her fleet career working for Donlen as a national account manager and, earlier, as a lessee sales processor for Wheels Inc.
