Ram Truck Track Bars Recalled for Steering Loss Risk

Carli Suspension is recalling 2,355 adjustable track bars sold for use on 2013 and newer Ram 3500 4x4, 2014 and newer Ram 2500 4x4, 2003-2013 Ram Diesel and Hemi, and 2003-2012 Ram 3500 diesel trucks, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.

These track bars (part numbers CS-DPRB03 and CS-DPRB14) have a Johnny Joint rod end that may break, resulting in detachment from the axle.

“If the joint were to break, the detached track bar would cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash,” NHTSA warned on its website.

Carli Suspension will provide a Heim joint to replace the Johnny Joint. There will be no charge for this service. The recall is already under way.

Truck owners can reach Carli Suspension customer service at (888) 992-2754 or info@CarliSuspension.com.
