Toyota's RAV4 was the first compact SUV in the U.S. market when it arrived in the early 1990s. For 2017, the RAV4 adds the Toyota Safety Sense package on all trim levels. It runs on a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that's paired to 6-speed transmission. The roomy compact SUV offers 38.4 cu-ft. of trunk space, and 73.4 cu-ft. with the seats down.
