Toyota will unveil its 2019 Avalon in January at the North American International Auto Show as a high-profile sedan update at a time when manufacturers prefer to focus their marketing on new utility vehicles and trucks.
The 2019 Avalon will have more "style and dynamism," when it debuts on Jan. 15 during a livestream event at the Detroit show. The event has been scheduled for 1:05 p.m. East Coast time.
The full-size sedan will be entering its fifth generation with the 2019-MY vehicle. Toyota has been selling the Avalon in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Middle East since 1994. It was sold in Australia from 2000 to July of 2005; it was replaced by the Toyota Aurion in late 2006.
