Daimler Vans U.S.A., LLC is recalling an estimated 17 2016-2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 and 3500 full-size vans equipped with folding seats for potentially incorrect unloaded vehicle weight (UVW) labels on these incomplete vehicles.

In the case of incorrect UVW labeling, final stage manufacturers may inadvertently exceed the maximum vehicle weight once the vehicle is completed, which can increase the risk of a crash.

To remedy the situation, Daimler Vans will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicle to ensure it is not overloaded as well as replace the label at no cost to customers.

Owners can reach Daimler Vans customer service at (877) 762-8267.
