Nissan North America, Inc. is recalling approximately 483 Nissan Titan and Titan XD MY 2016-2018 vehicles due to an increased risk in crashing by way of vehicle overload.
Installed accessories for these trucks reduced their load carrying capacity, yet a Load Carrying Capacity modification label was not installed. With this scenario, a vehicle could be inadvertently overloaded which increases the risk of a crash.
To fix the problem, Nissan will notify owners and provide a new modification label, with installation instructions, at no cost to owners.
The recall begins on June 16. Vehicle owners can reach Nissan customer service at (800) 867-7669.
