Video: 15 Toyota Camry Parts Drawing Thieves

VIDEO: How to Prevent Vehicle Theft

The 2016 Toyota Camry was the most stolen car model of 2016 and included 15 of the more commonly stolen parts, according to a recent report form the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB).

Auto part thieves are appropriating up to 15 commonly replaced components valued collectively at $11,000 from the midsize sedan, according to the bureau.

With this revelation, the bureau is warning drivers of all vehicles that car part thieves are finding airbags, tailgates, doors, headlights, bumpers and other components far too easily accessible. Replacing expensive parts can be a costly situation for fleets.

There are several ways to reduce a fleet vehicle's chances of being a target of car thieves. The bureau suggests always locking doors, parking in a safe and secure location, and never leaving visible items in the car to provide an open invitation for theft.
