After installing road- and driver-facing cameras with extended recording capability from the SmartDrive company, representatives of the Madison, Ala., location of the Danella construction and utility company were greeted early one morning with what was clearly a break-in at the yard. Fortunately, video of the thief was captured, here showing his haul out of the yard manning one of the Danella pickups. Video transferred and retrieved by the fleet and shared with local police, with positioning data as well, was instrumental in bringing the thief to justice and recovering both the truck and all manner of other stolen equipment from the Madison yard.
