D.C. protest reached an apex inside the White House

Amid financial pressures and abysmal rates for many small-business truckers, the demonstrations in D.C. on their 20th day Wednesday reached an apex with a meeting in the White House with administration reps on the subject of issues in the brokered-freight market. The FMCSA "supports transparency in the motor carrier industry," said a spokesman afterward.
