This week on his online radio show, "Big Al" Weekley shares a talk with retired owner-operator Bill Stillner about his 1986 Kenworth cabover, pictured above. Weekley's Overdrive's Music to Truck By radio program airs every Friday from10 a.m.-noon Eastern via the website of The Bluegrass Jamboree online radio network.
Stillner is headquartered in Vansant, Virginia, and is just recently retired. He told Weekley he "needed something to do, so he bought the 1986 cabover" to tinker with. The rig recently scored a trophy at the Southwest Virginia Big Rig Showdown in Lebanon, just a few weeks ago.
Sillner and his wife, Bonnie, also own two other unrestored cabovers and a Peterbilt 379 Billy's "just about done restoring," Weekley said.
Tune in tomorrow to hear more via TheBluegrassJamboree.com homepage, at 10 a.m. Eastern. "We talk about all of it," in addition to spinning music by and about professional truckers, as well as new and classic country and bluegrass tunes. Weekley also airs news and music-related feature contributions from Overdrive.
