Updated Partners in Business manual now available

The 2022 Partners in Business manual, co-produced by Overdrive and business services provider ATBS, is now available for download.

The interactive guide features loads of content for owner-operators of all experience levels, including those just starting out and those just looking to gain an extra edge for their long-running business.

The 19-chapter manual covers topics including becoming an owner-operator for the first time, how to keep track of your business records, controlling various costs, tax tips, insurance and much more. Updates this year include loads of detail on various hauling niches where owner-operators commonly thrive, ways to save on taxes and gain business-management dividends via and S Corp tax-filing structure for LLCs, and much, much more. In addition to its traditional in-depth chapter-structured tutorials, new interactive elements from Overdrive's Youtube series of business videos add a new dimension.

The release of the updated manual coincides with an in-person Partners in Business session that will be held Friday at 1:45 p.m. at the Mid-American Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky. There, Overdrive and ATBS will host the session featuring a market update presentation and Q&A with ATBS Vice President Mike Hosted, with Overdrive Extra contributor and former owner-operator and current business coach Gary Buchs on hand as well to help lead discussion.

The session will provide benchmarks against which to measure your operation, also providing a springboard for discussion around expected conditions through the end of the year, business best practices, and much more.
