For the fourth consecutive year, Overdrive’s long-running Pride & Polish competition kicks off online, now accepting entries with hopes of bringing together the best of the best from around the nation.
The 2023 virtual Pride & Polish competition opens today, August 1. The entry period will remain open through Labor Day, Sept. 4.
The competition will turn over to a public vote in which Overdrive readers will select their favorites in five categories -- Working Bobtail, Working Combo, Limited Mileage/Show, Antique and Interior.
To qualify for the working classes, trucks will need to have accrued at least 40,000 miles in the last 12 months. The Antique class is open to trucks 25 years old (1998 model year) or older.
Winners and finalists in each of the categories will be unveiled in October to put a bow on the 2023 truck show season. All winners and finalists will receive award plaques, and will be featured with profiles in our long-running Custom Rigs series, highlighting the truck and the owner and/or driver’s trucking career.
Last year’s awards event was hosted by Robb Mariani, truck enthusiast and host of the former “American Trucker” television show.
There is no entry fee to participate in the contest.
