PHOTOS: ‘Black Out’ tribute rig at the head of the God Bless America Ride Sunday

Black Out at lead of ride

All photos in this post taken by Josh Triggs of 3MI Photography, based in Martinsburg, W.Va. According to Chuck Timbrook, owner of the “Black Out” military-tribute 1999 Freightliner pictured here, he and Triggs may well collaborate further with photo shoots involving the rig.

An “awesome feeling,” says W.Va.-based owner-operator Chuck Timbrook, builder (with partners you can read about here) and driver of the 1999 “Black Out” Freightliner Classic regular readers will know he’s turned into a rolling tribute to military veterans, prisoners of war and soldiers who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice for the country. He’s talking about what happened yesterday on the God Bless America ride between Greencastle, Pa., and the Martinsburg Veterans Affairs center. He and his diesel rig led the way for hundreds of motorcycles participating in the ride (more than 3,000 all told, says Timbrook), put on by Rolling Thunder’s Maryland Chapter.

Triggs, Timbrook says, sent along these images of his unit. Click through any of them to visit the Martinsburg, W.Va.-based photographer’s website. Find him on Facebook via this link.
