Volkswagen has lowered the price for its Tiguan compact SUV and Touareg mid-size SUV for the 2016 model year by $1,400 and $2,000 respectively, the automaker has announced.
Volkswagen is revamping the trim levels for the Tiguan, offering the S, R-Line, SE, and SEL. Only the S model won't get the new MIB II infotainment system.
The Touareg, which had a mid-cycle refresh in 2015, adds additional safety equipment to the Executive model, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and autonomous emergency braking, and lane departure warning.
Volkswagen is also discontinuing the Touareg hybrid model.
