A multi-vehicle crash in Birmingham has the southbound side of Interstate 20/59 shut down near Mile 120.
The Birmingham Police Department has confirmed via Twitter one fatality in the accident that involved five vehicles, an overturned 18-wheeler and a collapsed road sign.
According to Birmingham news station ABC 33/40, the crash occurred around 2:30 p.m.
Birmingham Police also said via Twitter they will be closing two lanes of the I20/59 northbound side to reroute southbound traffic.
